It is 7pm and we are still making our way through Juan de Fuca straight and imagine we will still be for 10 hours.
It was still 25 knots winds and a huge fog bank when we woke up to leave, but we decided that we needed to just go out and do it. The current was going out of the straight so at least we had that in our favour. We took off at about 8am and were able to sail up to about 5.7 knots for a long while.
The currents then changed and we were slowed down a lot. We have been able to go about 24/25 nautical miles today and hoping to pick up again after the current changes again.
