We had a very quiet day. We have about 1000 miles to go until we reach our first destination of Hawaii. The swells are about 1-2 feet. We turned with the trade winds today and the current, so we have been motoring for about 24 hours now since it is faster to motor than sail. If the winds pick up we can put the sails back up.
Rick, Tim, and Brooke have been scraping and painting the deck all day. Everyone has been relaxing and doing a lot of reading on board.
Today, Brian made a delicious potato salad, some homemade bread, tuna on the barbecue, and a red beet salad.
Slow, quiet day.
